With over 14 years of experience in emergency medical services, Kyle Wolber isn’t new to high-pressure planning. As Director of Logistics for Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Kyle leads a team of nearly 20 supply chain professionals, supporting EMS operations across five states—Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Superior Ambulance has long relied on Operative IQ to manage logistics and asset tracking, particularly for high-stakes events like the Chicago Marathon. But when the team began planning their inaugural event, Start to Finish: Providing World Class Care Symposium, they needed a more robust solution—one that could handle attendee tracking, scheduling, and on-the-fly event management.

The idea for the symposium was born in December 2024, with the goal of bringing together staff from across all Superior Ambulance’s service regions before the end of February 2025. The compressed timeline meant that every tool and decision had to perform under pressure.
Operative IQ had been using its internal Event Management solution to host the ENGAGE User Conference, and after a conversation with Kyle, CEO EJ Aufderheide made a pivotal decision—to offer the module to Superior as a customer-facing product.
By early February 2025, the module was in Kyle’s hands.
